Lewis
Dec 5, 1959 — Jul 2, 2026
Earline Lewis was born on December 5, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Willieand Margaret Lewis. On July 2, 2026, she peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord andSavior, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family.Raised in Philadelphia, Earline attended the Philadelphia Public School System before dedicating much of her professional life to the health field. Caring for others wasn’t simply her profession—it was a reflection of who she was. She possessed a servant’s heart and found joy in helping those around her, whether family, friends, neighbors, or those entrusted to her care.
Earline was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Smyrna, Delaware. More than anything, she believed in Jesus Christ and lived a life that reflected His love and His generosity. Her faith was the foundation of who she was, guiding her decisions, strengthening her throughlife’s challenges, and shaping the way she loved and cared for others. She believed in the power of prayer, extended grace freely, and sought to bring peace, hope, and unity wherever she went. Those who knew her mother Margaret often saw that same loving spirit reflected in Earline. Justas her mother had been the heart of the family, Earline carried that legacy forward. She became the glue that held our family together and the rock so many leaned on. Whether someone needed encouragement, a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply a place to gather, Earline was there. She believed family was one of God’s greatest gifts and worked tirelessly to keep those bond sstrong. Her kitchen and her home was more than a place to prepare meals—it was where family gathered, memories were made, and love was served.
Earline had a remarkable gift for bringing people together through her cooking and get-togethers, filling her home with laughter, conversation, and fellowship. She had a generous spirit, an infectious laugh, and a helping hand that was always extended to anyone in need. Her warmth, kindness, and selfless nature left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.Earline loved deeply, served faithfully, and poured into the lives of countless family members and friends. Her legacy is one of strength, compassion, generosity, and unwavering love, a legacy that will continue to live on in every life she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Margaret Lewis, and her brothers, Freddie Daniels and Gregory Daniels.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved children, Quincy Lewis, Andre Lewis,Margaret Lewis, Jasmine Lewis, Jamal Perkins, Angelina Lewis, and Charles Lewis. She was also a loving bonus mother to her grandchildren Namir Lewis, Tyrell Lewis, David Lewis, Mariah Lewis, and Ajae Hardy-Lewis. Her love continues through her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Ernest Daniels, Willie (Pop) Lewis, andBernard Lewis; her sister, Diane Lewis; her sisters-in-law, Donna Daniels and Valerie Daniels; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom were blessed by her love, wisdom, and unwavering support.
She also leaves behind treasured lifelong friends, including Vivian Hill and Chereen Henderson, whose friendship remained a constant blessing throughout her life.Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life through JesusChrist. While we will miss Earline deeply, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior.
Her legacy of faith, love, compassion, generosity, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”— 2 Timothy 4:7 Well done, good and faithful servant. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Savior,Jesus Christ.
