Amanda C. Courtney

Affectionately known as Mandy Pandy was born on May 30, 1985, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Kemberly A. Courtney and Jeffrey Rouse. She peacefully departed this life on June 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, creativity, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Amanda was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and Philadelphia Catholic schools. She had a warm and caring spirit that would become the hallmark of her life. She was known for her sweet, gentle, kind, and selfless nature. Dependable and always willing to lend a helping hand, Amanda had a way of making everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

A dedicated professional, Amanda worked as a Pharmacy Technician, where she served others with compassion, patience, and care. Her commitment to helping people extended beyond her profession and was evident in every aspect of her life.

Amanda was many things: a devoted mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, caregiver, and friend. She had a heart of gold. She loved her elders; She treasured their advice, and deeply valued their wisdom and life experiences especially that of Ida Courtney (her “GAMMY”) .

Amanda’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being the mother of her beloved son, Elijah Courtney, born in 2012. She loved Elijah with all her heart and worked tirelessly to provide him with a life filled with love, stability, and opportunity. One of her proudest achievements was purchasing her first home in July 2024, a dream she fulfilled out of her desire to give her son a place they could truly call their own.

Her life was filled with passions and simple joys.

Amanda possessed a creative spirit and entrepreneurial drive. She founded her small business, Envisioned Designs, where she handcrafted and sold beautiful jewelry, coasters, candle holders, and other decorative pieces. Through her creativity, she shared beauty and joy with others while expressing her unique artistic talents.

Amanda loved children and had a nurturing spirit that naturally drew people to her. She also found joy in music, dancing, choreography, and making sweet treats for family and friends. Whether she was dancing at a family gathering, singing along to her favorite songs, or creating something special in the kitchen, Amanda embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.

One of Amanda’s most treasured gifts was her ability to make people laugh. She was known for accurately mimicking family members and friends, capturing their expressions, voices, and mannerisms with remarkable precision. Her playful impersonations would leave everyone laughing for hours. She also loved keeping up with the latest slang and trends, often surprising loved ones with her knowledge of the newest phrases and expressions. Amanda’s youthful spirit allowed her to connect effortlessly with people of all ages.

Her beautiful smile could light up any room, and her infectious laughter brought comfort and happiness wherever she went. Amanda loved deeply, gave freely, and consistently placed the needs of others before her own. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love touched countless lives.

Though Amanda’s earthly journey has ended, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain forever.

To know Amanda was to love her. To be loved by Amanda was a blessing.

Amanda leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved son, Elijah Courtney; her loving mother, Kemberly A. Courtney; her cherished older brother, David Courtney; her beloved grandmother, Ida Courtney; her loving aunt, Cherese Goodwin; her loving great aunts Veronica Hinton and Janis Clarke, her great uncle, David Jamie Jordan, a host of loving cousins; extended family members; dear friends; and all whose lives were blessed by her love, kindness, laughter, and friendship.

Mandy’s life reminds us of the power of love, laughter, and tradition. She will be

remembered for her spirit, her kindness, and the joy she brought into our lives. Though she is gone, her memory will live on in the stories we share, the traditions we keep, and the love she gave so freely.

Amanda’s memory will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched and the immeasurable love she shared.

As we remember Amanda today, let us carry forward the joy, kindness, and traditions she gave us. Whether it's sharing laughter, assisting others, Dancing, or simply taking a moment to tell someone you love them. You will honor her by living with the same heart she showed us.
